Retail is slowly recovering and expansions are on the card

Over the past year, the world has experienced an unprecedented worldwide crisis which has changed the world and the way people live forever. The Coronavirus pandemic has caused people to change their spending habits, how they eat and drink and what they do with their time.
For fashion and it’s endless cycles, the pandemic has had a huge effect on it and has been hugely damaging to the industry along with many other industries.
With the Coronavirus vaccine now slowly rolling out and confidence return to economies around the world, retailers are now trying to put their plans on track with regards to expansions nation wide and worldwide. Many large fashion retailers were looking at new store openings across the country before the pandemic and now they will try to put those plans back on track.
Research has shown that retail expansion is slowly gaining traction now for retail industry’s that were hamstrung by the pandemic including fashion, electronics, beauty and health.
The revival of the industry has been mixed with some categories working better than others. Some stores such as The Reject Shop had a healthy increase in revenue over the past couple of months. However some other big names had a noteable decrease including Adidas and Under Armour, citing a slower recover than expected.
